Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course students should be able to:
  1. identify and develop personal areas of research
  2. demonstrate a (high) increased level of skill in processes, tools and equipment relevant to their work and an ability to build on these independently.
  3. demonstrate their understanding of the importance of critical and self-reflective practice
  4. demonstrate an (informed) understanding of critical and theoretical issues
  5. show understanding of personal and shared responsibilities of the artist regarding O H & S requirements and procedures and studio management
Indicative Assessment: Portfolio of studio work (80%) and Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress.
Workload:

12 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice.
