| Learning Outcomes: |
By the end of this course students should be able to:
- identify and develop personal areas of research
- demonstrate a (high) increased level of skill in processes, tools and equipment relevant to their work and an ability to build on these independently.
- demonstrate their understanding of the importance of critical and self-reflective practice
- demonstrate an (informed) understanding of critical and theoretical issues
- show understanding of personal and shared responsibilities of the artist regarding O H & S requirements and procedures and studio management

| Indicative Assessment: |
Portfolio of studio work (80%) and Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |
| Workload: |
12 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice. |
