| Course Description: |
The course covers contemporary issues in government policies of privatisation and corporatisation.? Topics include processes, rationales, types of issues, international evidence, social and economic policy.? It is assumed participants will have an understanding of financial markets including equity and debt markets, financial mathematics, financial instruments, institutions and systems, interest rates, regulatory issues, derivatives and risk management. |

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and firm understanding of the concepts and issues involved with Public Sector Commercialisation and Privatisation. |

The assessment for this course will negotiated with students, but is likely to include multiple major pieces of assessment due throughout the teaching period. |
| Workload: |
Teaching for this course is likely to be in the format of one 3 hour seminar per week; however, enrolment numbers may dictate that it be run differently. Students will also be expected to put in up to 5 hours of their own time outside of class focussing on individual research. |
