Course Description:	This course introduces students to the legal principles relevant to business structure in Australia. Particular emphasis is given to corporate law with some reference to other forms of business operation.
Learning Outcomes:	The course aims to help you to: (a) acquire a basic knowledge of Australian corporate law; (b) develop an understanding of the business events and associated legal issues faced by Australian companies and their advisers; and (c) apply your legal knowledge and research skills to recognise and address such legal issues from the perspective of an accountant, management consultant or financial adviser.

Workload:	6 hours per week contact and private study. Private Study. There is a large volume of material to be covered in this course. You will need to use the skills you have learned in Introduction to Commercial Law in reading cases and legislation and applying them to new problems using the IRAC (Issue, Rule, Application, and Conclusion) approach. You will need to attend lectures and tutorials, read the text and also cases and statutes.
