| Course Description: |
This is an intermediate course in 3D animation using Alias Maya software. Students learn how to apply animation principles to the building, rigging and animating of a character. Students use techniques demonstrated in lectures and tutorials to develop a short character animation film. Cinematography basics will be explored in the context of 3D animation production. A theory component will explore the dissemination of 3D animated works in a new media arts context.

All sessions take place in a computer laboratory:
3 hours of seminar / studio practice per week
Students are expected to do at least an extra 4 hours of independent studio practice each week |
