| Course Description: |
The aim of this course is to introduce students to varying video practices within the field of new media.
A number of these practices will be closely examined to develop a contextual framework for production in this program. Students will develop an advanced understanding of video aesthetics and practices in this field. An integrated research approach will enable students to move towards the development of innovative content using digital video.

| Indicative Assessment: |
Assessment is by a series of assignments, and a final presentation of the major project to the assessment panel.

All sessions take place in a computer laboratory:
3.5 hours of seminar / studio practice per week
Students are expected to do at least an extra 4 hours of independent studio practice each week |
