Course Description:

This course introduces the student to the analysis and appraisal of certain classic texts in the history of economics. These texts will be drawn from pre-classical, Classical, Neoclassical and modern eras in economics, giving students a familiarity with both different periods, and different approaches to fundamental problems.

Learning Outcomes: This course introduces to students several key economic texts of pre-Classical, Classical, Neoclassical and modern eras, giving students a familiarity with different approaches to fundamental problems
Indicative Assessment:
  • Examination - 90 marks
  • Essay - 40 marks
  • Tutorials - 10 marks
  • Seminar - 10 marks
  • Total - 150 marks
