| Course Description: |
This course provides an introduction to the geophysical methods used to explore the Earth's interior. The course will cover seismic methods used to determine the structure and behaviour of the Earth's deep interior, as well as the application of seismic, gravity, magnetic, electrical, electro-magnetic, and radiometric techniques to probe crustal structure and composition, to explore for various types of mineral and energy resources, and in environmental and archaeological applications. Students will gain practical experience in the application of various geophysical methods to solve problems in laboratory and field exercises. |
