Course Description:

Introduction of various qualitative and quantitative methods used in the management of manufacturing operations with a focus on the effective management of resources to achieve delivery of quality products and services. Areas covered will include work flow types including job, batch and flow systems, line balancing, work study methods including time and motion study, JIT techniques, the role of statistical process control techniques and quality assurance methods in a TQM philosophy, reliability analysis, the managment of variation, and system approaches to operations.
