Course Description:

(a) Reading graded selections from modern Hindi literature, including newspaper and magazine articles
(b) conversational practice
(c) 1500-word essay in Hindi on a workshop topic

Indicative Assessment:

Oral and Written tests (totalling 50%), Essay in Hindi (50%).

Workload:

Three hours of lectures in the morning and workshop sessions in the afternoon five days per week in a city in northern India. The course will be held in January and February for a period of six weeks. Emphasis is on acquisition of conversational skills in Hindi.
