| Course Description: |
The student's performance study will be accompanied by an individual program of study or courses of coursework (12 units) which require relevant written or equivalent documentation or scholarly performance as the focus of the assessment. Students will be advised to select courses of study or individual research topics or program of professional practice which consider issues of interpretation, performance practice, performing traditions related to repertoire studied, or some other aspect relevant to their performance interests. However, where a student has particular interest in undertaking other kinds of study (for example a course in other graduate programs), this needs to be approved by the relevant authorities in each program. |
| Indicative Assessment: |
Students must undertake taught courses or an individual study program to the minimum value of 12 units. Units are normally determined on the basis of 6 units per semester course. This program of study may be undertaken and presented in a number of formats and situations, for example, any combination of: - Lecture recital/Themed recital (approx. 50 minutes) on a chosen research topic (12 units)
- Written Research project or professional practice project - minimum 10,000 words or its equivalent (12 units)
- Semester length or year long coursework courses from the graduate coursework program. Each coursework course normally includes a final seminar presentation of 5,000 words or its equivalent.
