This course build on the basic concepts presented in first and second year cognitive psychology and examines issues of contemporary interest. Topics are likely to include memory, social cognition, language (including developmental dyslexia) face perception (including prosopagnosia, emotion, attractiveness) and executive functioning.

To be arranged in consultation with students, but including an invigilated examination and a research assignment. The examination must be passed in order for an overall pass in the course to be awarded.  In 2009, the assessment included an end-of-semester exam (55%), a research assignment (35%), and a class presentation (10%).
