Program Requirements
The Asian Studies(Specialist) degrees listed in the Asian Studies Faculty entry may be combined with the Bachelor of Commerce, by completing the combination of courses from both colleges, referred to in 'Study Options', with the addition of the Year in Asia program, generally taken in Year 4 of the combined degree. The total number of units involved is 240. Admission to the Asian Studies(Specialist) degree requires 192 units, and the normal duration of the program is 5 years. Students should discuss their program with both relevant College offices. See also Bachelor of Asian Studies / Bachelor of Commerce Year-in Asia Disclaimer: Applicants are advised that due to circumstances beyond the University’s control (for example: specific international security concerns, international health crises) it may not be possible for students to commence or complete their Year-in-Asia requirement either within the minimum time for completion of their degree, or, the maximum time for completion of their degree. Should these circumstances occur, the Faculty will offer compensating program/s, but not programs leading to the Year-in-Asia qualification. In these very unusual circumstances (which have not occurred in the 12 year life of the program) reversion to the standard Bachelor of Asian Studies may be necessary. |
