*Students seeking to commence a Finance specialisation in Semester 2 (July) are recommended to contact the ANU College of Business and Economics before lodging an application to assist them to pre-determine their eligibility. Semester 2 (July) intake is permitted for international students and full-time Australian students seeking a Finance specialisation in instances whereby the student has already completed a recognised major in Finance through an undergraduate degree, or alternatively has completed some Finance subjects through an undergraduate degree (to be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Program Coordinator). Part-time Australian students are permitted to commence in the Semester 2 (July) intake with no academic background in Finance. The two year Master of Commerce program focuses on an advanced and in depth level of study in a business or commercial discipline including accounting, finance or e-commerce. The program offers a pathway to PhD study if the student has not previously completed an honours degree. Additionally, the program provides an opportunity for students who come into the graduate program with no background in Commerce to reach an advanced level of academic study. Students with a background in business study may apply for the program, but may be required to substitute more advanced courses for those already undertaken if they continue to study the same area as their undergraduate major. All graduate coursework for domestic students in the ANU College of Business and Economics is offered under Domestic Tuition Fee places. Australian citizens may defer the payment of their fees using FEE-HELP, however should be aware that the programs are not eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places and HECS-HELP. Information on FEE-HELP and eligibility requirements is available from http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/ |
