| The MA in International Relations is designed for those who are seeking academic preparation for a career in international affairs with an Asian-Pacific focus, whether in diplomacy, the civil service, teaching, journalism, or business. It also caters for those requiring a foundation for doctoral studies in international relations. Admission Requirements Applicants should normally have obtained at least second class honours, division A, in their bachelor degree, or the equivalent. The degree should be in any discipline of the social sciences or the humanities. In exceptional circumstances, degrees in other disciplines will be considered. In cases where applicants have not undertaken an honours degree, equivalence to a 2A honours degree may be met by: - A very good four-year bachelor degree, or graduate diploma.
- A very good three-year bachelor degree and substantial relevant work experience demonstrating a capacity for analysis and research.
As a guide, 'very good' normally refers to an A/B+ average and above, or distinction average and above. For further information, please see the Graduate Studies in International Affairs web site. |
