This degree is designed for those who wish to gain a more advanced training in clinical psychology than that available via the two year Masters program. The third year of coursework and clinical placements is designed to prepare graduates for more senior roles in their chosen career upon graduation. As well as the extra professional training, this degree also provides extra training in research skills via the increased research component. The degree is accredited by the Australian Psychological Society for associate membership of the College of Clinical though, as with all accredited postgraduate clinical programs, a further two year's supervised clinical practice may be necessary before full membership is given, depending on past clinical experience. In addition, all programs fulfil the requirements of the Psychology Registration Boards in all Australian States and Territories for non-conditional recognition. |
