| The Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) degree is a three-year (full-time) program of research, coursework and clinical placements. The program uses a scientist-practitioner model to train clinicial psychological professionals to produce original cliniial research and apply and evalute research in their practice. The program provides more advanced training in clinical psychology than that available via the Masters program. The DPsych program is designed to prepare graduates for senior roles in clinical psychology careers upon graduation. It provides training in research skills that are particuarly relevant to clinical practice as well as advanced professional training. |

Admission Requirements

Prerequisites Honours degree in psychology at the IIA level or better, including completion of an undergraduate course in abnormal psychology at the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year level. Entry by a fourth year postgraduate diploma in psychology will also be considered. Diplomas must (a) be of honours standard, (b) contain a substantial research methodology component, and (c) be accredited for Associate Membership of the Australian Psychological Society. |
