  <degree-structure>&lt;p&gt;The program consists of 48 units&amp;nbsp;of coursework. Students must complete&amp;nbsp;the two compulsory courses - ANTH8034 and ANTH8035 (both worth 12 units each).&amp;nbsp;The remaining four courses&amp;nbsp;are selected&amp;nbsp;from the elective offerings to complete 48 units.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students can elect to take one elective course outside the Anthropology postgraduate coursework program (e.g. in Demography or other postgraduate course) where it can be shown to be of direct relevance to the student&amp;rsquo;s interests and an appropriate part of the Anthropology degree. The aim of the qualification is to provide quality and coherent graduate education in Anthropology.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The program is&amp;nbsp;suitable for those who seek academic preparation for a career in a professional area requiring a solid understanding of Anthropology, whether in cultural institutions, the public service, the academy, or elsewhere.   <pre-requisites>&lt;p&gt;Applicants for direct entry to Master of Anthropology should have obtained a Bachelor degree with at least second-class, division A, Honours, or its equivalent, from an approved tertiary education institution. In cases where applicants have not undertaken an honours degree, &amp;lsquo;equivalence&amp;rsquo; may be met by:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;A very good 4 year bachelor degree &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;A very good graduate diploma &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;A very good 3 year bachelor degree and substantial relevant experience demonstrating capacity for analysis and research.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</pre-requisites>
