  <course-description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Intermediate Turkish A is designed for students who can already read and understand paragraphs of a fair length and also write short paragraphs in present, past and future tenses using with gerunds.&amp;nbsp; The course will further cover the use of verb active, auxiliary verbs, participles, indirect speech, causative gerunds, and gerunds of time.&amp;nbsp; Due to the nature of Turkish language the use of relevant suffixes with the verbs will be explained within sentences.&amp;nbsp; The course will include comprehensive reading passages of a fair length.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students are required to attend language laboratory sessions and listen to the recordings on the WebCT (one hour a week) and hand in their Work Book for correction.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;h1&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/h1&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</course-description>
