3046 Commencement: Semester 1 (February). Semester 2 (July) commencement is available for students with a finance/accounting or statistics background.  The Graduate Certificate in Financial Management program is designed for students who wish to:<ul><li>develop a greater understanding of financial management principles and their application</li><li>improve analytical skills for interpreting and analyzing financial information</li><li>gain greater insight in to the Australian and International Financial markets, instruments and institutions</li><li>increase management skills for dealing with organizations, teams and policy issues</li><li>expand their applied knowledge in various specialized areas of financial management</li></ul>The program can be expanded into the [Master of Financial Management|7406XMFINM] program by suitable students. The Graduate Certificate suits professionals how do not have the time to devote to the full masters program.All graduate coursework for domestic students in the ANU College of Business and Economics is offered under Domestic Tuition Fee places. Australian citizens may defer the payment of their fees using FEE-HELP, however should be aware that the programs are not eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places and HECS-HELP. A bachelors degree from an Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) with a performance average of 65% or better (or equivalent) for the final two years of their degree program; andii. A background in some quantitative coursework studies.All applicants are required to provide a supporting statement consisting of: employment history and details of any professional qualifications.Students who do not meet these requirements may be considered for entry if they are able to demonstrate at least one year full time relevant work experience that was undertaken after graduation from their degree.

Graduate Certificate in Financial Management

Students must satisfactorily achieve a minimum pass grade in 24 units to qualify for the Graduate Certificate.Students must pass the first 24 units attempted if they seek to transfer to the [Master of Financial Management|7406XMFINM].  Students must then pass and achieve a grade average of 70% in the 48 units attempted as part of the Master of Financial Management if they seek to transfer from the Master of Financial Management to the [Master of Finance|7418XMFIN].
