  <introduction>&lt;p&gt;The Graduate Certificate in Accounting program provides a two semester part time or one semester full time program designed for students who would like to develop their skills and knowledge in the discipline of Accounting. It is designed in particular for students with no background in Accounting and covers some of the basic theories and techniques in Accounting and how these are applied, without the need to enrol in a full Masters degree. The four course program is designed to articulate into the&amp;nbsp;[Master of Business|7411XMBUSN] (1 year),&amp;nbsp;[Master of Professional Accounting|7413XMPACC] (1.5 years)&amp;nbsp;or the&amp;nbsp;[Master of Accounting|7414XMACCT] (2 year) programs.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;All graduate coursework for domestic students in the ANU College of Business and Economics is offered under Domestic Tuition Fee places.&amp;nbsp;Australian citizens may defer&amp;nbsp;the payment of their fees using FEE-HELP, however should be aware that the programs are not eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places and HECS-HELP. Information on FEE-HELP and eligibility requirements is available from &lt;a href="http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/" title="http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/"&gt;http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Admission Requirements&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students who already fully satisfy the educational entry requirements for the Australian professional accounting bodies are not eligible to enrol in the Graduate Certificate in Accounting.&amp;nbsp; Such students should consider other postgraduate coursework programs offered by the College.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Admission for non-accounting graduates&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Applicants must hold a pass (Bachelor) degree with a non-accounting major from an Australian university or overseas university of equivalent standing to an Australian university.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Performance in last two years of the degree to be at an average of 65%&amp;nbsp;by ANU standard or equivalent if from an Australian university. Overseas performance requirements may vary.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Students who fail to meet the academic entry requirement at (ii) above may be considered for entry if they are able to demonstrate at least one year of full-time relevant work experience that was undertaken after graduation from their degree.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Students entering the program are also assumed to have an understanding of mathematics equivalent to one year of university level including calculus and algebra. Students who do not possess this assumed knowledge should undertake a mathematics bridging program.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The suitability of the students to enter the program is at the discretion of the Dean.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Admission for Overseas Trained Accountants&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Before application to the ANU, intending students must have an assessment of their qualifications completed by either CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.&amp;nbsp; This assessment should be included with the application to the program.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Applicants must hold a pass (Bachelor) degree with an accounting major from a non-Australian institution of equivalent standing to an Australian university.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Performance in their Bachelor degree to be at an average of 65% by ANU standard or better.
