  <introduction>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Semester 2 (July) commencement is permitted for international students and full-time Australian students seeking a Finance specialisation in instances whereby the student has already completed a recognised major in Finance through an undergraduate degree, or alternatively has completed some Finance subjects through an undergraduate degree (to be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Program Coordinator). Part-time Australian students are permitted to commence in the Semester 2 (July) intake with no academic background in Finance.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This 1 year degree program provides in-depth coverage of the core areas of business and commerce and assumes little or no existing background or knowledge. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Master of Business is designed for:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Students who want a &amp;lsquo;conversion&amp;#39; option to move from a background of little or no business study to a basic knowledge of skills relevant to business and commerce &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Students who have a business degree but who want to re-train in a different area of commerce or wish to develop higher-level skills in their chosen discipline.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Candidates who have appropriate prior qualifications and are seeking professional accounting accreditation may be able to satisfy educational requirements for entry to the CPA program or the ICAA&amp;#39;s Chartered Accounting Foundations program. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students who achieve the required grades in completing a year of full-time study within the Master of Business may transfer to the more advanced Master of Commerce program.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;All graduate coursework for domestic students in the ANU College of Business and Economics is offered under Domestic Tuition Fee places.&amp;nbsp;Australian citizens may defer&amp;nbsp;the payment of their fees using FEE-HELP, however should be aware that the programs are not eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places and HECS-HELP.   <requirements>&lt;p&gt;Students must satisfactorily achieve a minimum pass grade in 48 units of credit to qualify for the degree of Master of Business.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students must pass and achieve a grade average of 70% across the first 48 units attempted to progress to any other 2 year Masters program in the Faculty.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Candidates must complete 48 units, consisting of no more than 24 units comprising introductory courses and at least 24 units of elective courses. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The program may combine intensive mode and semester length courses. Most 6 unit courses are taught in semester length mode. 3 unit courses are usually taught in intensive mode.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Introductory Courses (maximum of 24 units)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Introductory courses cover basic business skills.
