  <introduction>&lt;p&gt;This program is a professionally oriented degree for those who want to obtain graduate level skills in Information Systems.&amp;nbsp; It is a conversion program for graduates who already possess a high quality degree in a non-information systems discipline provides in-depth coverage of the core areas of the Information Systems discipline but without assuming existing background or knowledge on the part of those enrolled. The prgoram aims to take those who enter it to a level of competence in the discipline that will enable them to embark upon a career in the field or to progress to more advanced study. Students who achieve the required grades may transfer into the more advanced [Master of Business Information Systems|7417XMBIS] (MBIS) program after one year of study.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Students who have completed an information systems major in their undergraduate degree may apply for the program, but may be required to substitute more advanced courses for those already undertaken.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;All graduate coursework for domestic students in the ANU College of Business and Economics is offered under Domestic Tuition Fee places.&amp;nbsp;Australian citizens may defer&amp;nbsp;the payment of their fees using FEE-HELP, however should be aware that the programs are not eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places and HECS-HELP. Information on FEE-HELP and eligibility requirements is available from &lt;a href="http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/" title="http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/"&gt;http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Admission Requirements&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;i. Applicants will be required to hold a pass (Bachelor) degree from an Australian university or overseas equivalent. Performance in the last two years of the degree is required to be at an average of 65% or better (or equivalent).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ii. Students who fail to meet the academic entry requirement at (i) above may be considered for entry if they are able to demonstrate at least one year of full-time relevant work experience which was undertaken after graduation from their degree. The suitability of the students to enter the program will be at the discretion of the Dean.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;iii. Students entering the program are required to have an understanding of mathematics at university level including calculus and algebra. Students who do not possess this assumed knowledge may undertake a mathematics bridging program.   <requirements>&lt;p&gt;Students must pass and achieve a grade average of 70% across the first 48 units attempted to progress to the [Master of Business Information Systems|7417XMBIS] program or to any other 2 Year Masters program offered in the College.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Master of Information Systems Studies degree program comprises 48 units consisting of 30 units of core courses and 18 units of elective courses. This program does not include a thesis component. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Core Courses (30 units)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;INFS7040 Electronic Commerce for Managers&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;INFS7003 Databases and Information Systems &lt;strong&gt;or&lt;/strong&gt; COMP6240 Relational Databases&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;INFS7006 Information Systems and Communication Technologies&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;INFS7007 Information Systems Analysis and Modelling&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;BUSN7024 Project Management Principles&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Elective Courses (18 units)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Elective courses to the value of 18 units of credit are to be chosen in addition to the prescribed core courses.
