  <course-description>This is a&amp;nbsp; research-intensive course in which students undertake a self-directed research project under the guidance of a supervisor. It comprises a series of seminars on planning and conducting research, and on academic skills development. The majority of time is spent developing and implementing a research plan under the supervision of an academic member of staff. </course-description>

  <requisite-statement>Admission to this course is at the discretion of the Associate Director Education, Fenner School, subject to the availability of a suitable supervisor. Admission may be restricted to prospective Honours students. Admission of non-Science students requires the approval of an appropriate College Authority. Other than in exceptional cases, requires the completion of at least 30 units at 2000/3000 level, with Credit average performance in 2000 and 3000 level courses in the School, and Distinction level performance in courses related to the proposed research project.
